Business Development Associate is responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of all retail stores, managing in-store personnel and freelance staff, actively participating in day-to-day store activities, and proactively delegating and tracking tasks across all company employees to ensure smooth and efficient workflow. This individual will ensure consistent brand experience, drive sales, optimize operational efficiency, and foster a positive and productive work environment.

Responsibilities
1. People Management & Leadership

  • Recruit, onboard, train, and manage in-store staff.
  • Develop and implement staff scheduling to optimize coverage and cost.
  • Delegate tasks effectively to store staff and freelance personnel, ensuring clear expectations and deadlines.
  • Provide ongoing feedback and performance evaluations to team members.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and motivating work environment by resolving employee conflicts and addressing performance issues promptly and effectively.
  • Manage and coordinate freelance schedules and projects.
  • Ensure all staff and freelancers are aligned with company values and policies.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with store staff, freelance personnel, and management.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on store performance, projects, inventory, and staff activities

2. Store Operations Management

  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of all warehouses and retail store locations (Boudha, Jhamsikhel, Pokhara).
  • Monitor and analyze store performance metrics (sales, traffic, inventory) and implement strategies for improvement.
  • Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, and loss prevention.
  • Ensure stores are clean, organized, and well maintained.
  • Actively participate in daily store activities, including sales, customer service, and bookkeeping.
  • Assist in creating and implementing in-store promotions and events.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in retail management, preferably in a multi-store environment.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and retail software.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in retail operations, inventory management, and customer service.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Experience in hiring and managing staff and freelance workers is highly desired.
  • Passion for sustainable and ethical practices.
